About Foundation

WalkingPropertyThe foundation was formed in 2009 and conducted organizational and strategic planning with communities to discuss possible purchase options and desired conservation outcomes of the farm property. Today, the foundation works with Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks to support conservation and access to the property.

The current goals of the foundation are to develop a living shoreline to control erosion, provide access for recreational lite craft access to the Magothy, and as a venue for environmental education. The property is currently being used by Anne Arundel Community College’s Environmental Studies to conduct field research and Anne Arundel Public Schools, How To Start An After School Environmental Club.
